The Global Youth Meets mega event which has been successfully running since 20th February, 2014 concluded today on a high note. The Global Youth Meets 2014, has bought together young delegates from all over the world to exchange views, share experiences on different issues like VBD, disaster, environment, health, reflect together and, above all, detect common preoccupations and to develop realistic action plans to rebuild communities that meet the needs and aspirations of young people under the theme ‘promoting young blood donor and looking beyond disasters’.
The event was attended by youth from all over the globe including countries like Vietnam, Nigeria, Indonesia and other states of India.
On the concluding day, various awards were presented among which Y Rajen, Kandel (Nepal) received the Club 25 International Youth Award; Shabirna Nida, All Hashina, Indonesia received the Global Youth Meet Special Award 2014, while Phu Thu Hein of Vietnam received the best club 25 young Award.
Cultural shows including the Kom tribe were showcased by the Cultural Dance and Research Centre, Churachandpur and Thougal Jagoi and the Manipuri Classical Dance were also presented.
Some of the renowned partners of "Global Youth Meets 2014" are Government of India, Government of Manipur, The Classic Hotel, among others. Its media partners are Youth Street News, the Impact TV and Eccentric India.
The closing ceremony of the Global Youth Meets culminated with a formal dinner.
