When our so-called "Protective" Government was busy for the security of a "President", yet another girl, 25-year-old, Russian tourist was #MOLESTED, #ROBBED, #HIT last night in the very street of Delhi at Vasant Kunj area!! The girl was Brave enough to escape the possible rape cum murder scene!!

Movie Review: Mary Kom



An angry young woman from a small village in Manipur fights her way to the world stage winning several prestigious titles and awards is the storyline of the much-awaited biopic #MaryKom. Starring one of the most talented actors in the industry #PriyankaChopra, the movie did capture the audience's imagination to a quite extent. With her powerpacked performance, Priyanka Chopra did justice in her role to portray all the struggles that Mary Kom has faced in reality to reach the stage where she is now.

Mega Success on the Launch of Youth Street News Magazine

The All-in-one Global Youth Magazine was launched today. The event was held at Manipur Press Club, Majorkhul, Imphal, India - 1400hrs IST onwards. Special live performances by Kelly Chhakchhuak, Allen Robertson, The Wishess and a surprise performance by Fiago was observed.

Germany and Brazil complete the "podium" the most valuable of the World summed. If the price of all athletes from Spain are combined, the total value reaches 622 million Euros, equivalent to almost 2 billion dollars.

2nd Xenoh Corporate Football Challenge 2014 concludes



Blackberry beat AFC by 3-0 in the conclusion to the 2nd Xenoh Corporate Football Challenge 2014, which kicked off on 21st February. The final match was played on 30th March, with the final match played between Apunpba Fitness Centre (AFC) and Blackberry (James Khaling & Sons) Team at TBSFA ground Taobungkhok.

Last day Holi celebration at RTC Route39




Excited and colourful hearts came down to the very exquisite RTC Route39 in Mantripukhi, Imphal to celebrate the last day of the Holi festival with splashes of colours. Hundreds present at the venue fun  painted the crowd diversely with mix of colour and music. It was a one of a kind Holi celebration for the first time in Manipur, with the DJ dropping tunes, creating an ambience of dance and unlimited pumped up music. The addition of the rock band performance enhanced the aroma to the spirit of the celebration to a heart racing new level.

Hundreds of young hearts today throng the RTC Route39, an exquisite restaurant in Mantripukhi, Imphal to celebrate Holi festive with variety of colours to add more colours to their lives. The first of its kind Holi celebration in Manipur also featured collective DJ jam with unlimited music and dance enthralling the fun-loving people.

The second day of Manfete 2014 was an amazing screen as it was packed with competitions on and off stage with extraordinary performances by guest artists at the Centenary Hall, Manipur University. Today, Manfete was all about quizes, skit, spot painting, essay, and the much awaited Manhunt rivalry. Not to forget the ear pleading performances by Maniac and The Wishess.

Manfete 2014 kickstarts today

The three-day extravaganza Manfete 2014 has been kickstarted today at the jam-packed Centenary Hall, Manipur University. The annual event by Manipur Institute of Management Studies is being organised by its students with the support of its faculty under the theme ‘Education 360 degree’.

Manfete showcases both scholastic and co-scholastic events and competitions like Quiz, Business Idea, Extempore Speech, Fashion Parade, Manhunt, Dance, Music, Games and several others. Today’s event included MIMS Business Idea, Ex-tempore, Eshei-Shakshi, Dance (Individual), Dance (Group), Dance (Freestyle), Photography and Treasure Hunt.

GYM 2014 concludes


The Global Youth Meets mega event which has been successfully running since 20th February, 2014 concluded today on a high note. The Global Youth Meets 2014, has bought together young delegates from all over the world to exchange views, share experiences on different issues like VBD, disaster, environment, health, reflect together and, above all, detect common preoccupations and to develop realistic action plans to rebuild communities that meet the needs and aspirations of young people under the theme ‘promoting young blood donor and looking beyond disasters’.

The event was attended by youth from all over the globe including countries like Vietnam, Nigeria, Indonesia and other states of India.

What all there for Youth in Budget 2014


In what could be the last budget for the UPA II government, Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram on Monday presented his interim Union Budget 2014. Following are the highlights of Budget 2014 pertaining directly or indirectly to youth:


• Education expenditure has increased from Rs 10,145 crore 10 years ago to Rs 79,251 crore this year
• More industrial corridors, 3 of them— Chennai-Bangalore, Bangalore-Mumbai, Amritsar-Kolkata 
• Excise duty on cut from 30 to 24% on SUVs

Global Youth Meets 2014


For the very first time, a global conference for youth - “Global Youth Meets 2014” will be organized by The Club25 International Manipur from 20th to 25th February 2014 in Manipur, India. 

The global theme of “Young Blood Donors;our Future” has been adopted. The main Event Venue will be The Classic Hotel, Imphal, Manipur, India. Around 450 youths from about 106 countries will attend the Meets.

3rd Enviro Youth Summit ends on high note



Contributing in spreading mass awareness about environmental issues, the North East Centre for Environmental Education and Research (NECEER) organised the third Enviro Youth  Summit of Manipur on January 7-8, 2014. The event was held at the Keibul Lamjao National Park, Manipur; as the theme of the summit was to ‘Save Sangai (Dancing deer of Manipur)’. The event was a grand success.

As a part of the summit, various competitions were held such as painting competition, symposium , short story writing, and the like. The summit also witnessed Nature walk at the Keibul Lamjao National Park and screening of Environmental films as well as Nature photography contest. In addition, a quiz competition was also conducted, sponsored by the event’s partner the Youth Street News, on the last day of the summit to check how aware the participants are on environmental issues and nature. Around 200 students participated in the various competitions at the event.

The summit is first of its kind in Northeast India and is being organized to celebrate UN’s International decade of Biodiversity 2010-2020. NECEER, Imphal is one of the 14 official partners of UN’s International decade of Biodiversity 2010-2020 in India.
