Fund raising event to establish lifelong shelter for differently-abled kids held

Amongst all the part in the differently-abled community, children are the most vulnerable group as they are dependent on their parents.

This meaningful Musical Concert was organised by Parents' Association for Differently-Abled (PAFDA) on 26th March 2014 at BOAT, Imphal.  Many artists have made their presence on stage. A beautiful moment was dedicated to a meaningful and attractive 'Live Yoga' presentation rendered by the kids of BB Paul Mental Development Home.

From among the children, Mutum Punshisana, Gold Medalist, Special Olympics -World Summer Games Athens 2011 was facilitated. Alongside a beautiful song was performed by Miss Helena.

As there is no permanent Disability Commissioner in Manipur, the Government seem to be quite unaware about present situation of this community. " As such disabled children will be amongst us as long as human society is on earth, Government should take some long term policy for the welfare of such children ," as said by Elangbam Tanuja Devi ,Scecretary (PAFDA) .

Youth Street News supported this wonderful cause as its media partner.
